Some of the spice-up additions are homemade by adding
hearty tastes like raisins, herbs, berries, nuts, to a
healthy base such as oil, yogurt, vinegar, or creams.
Most often these are served as a topping, or dressing,
added to give normally quite foods a big spark flavor.
These can be created then kept handy for weeks so
long as they are refrigerated. This combo adds life to
your Italian, Native American, Asian, and Italian dishes
1 ½ teaspoon dried or fresh thyme
3 oz. dried or 6-7 leaves fresh basil
1 T. dried or 1 oz. fresh oregano
1 T. dried or 2 oz. fresh rosemary
1 3/4 C. olive oil
Add herbs to oil. This can be placed in blender for a
quick turn, or store in 14 oz. Bottle as is using funnel
If you don’t have a funnel make a cone of handy aluminum
or cutting the top of a smaller plastic bottle works
fine. Pour mixture into bottle. Close and refrigerate at
least 1 to 2 days until ready for use.
