Fascinating Fact:: Who drinks Tea made of butter? A common Tibet drink is butter tea – made of tea, yak butter, and salt.
    Bulging Budgets

While admittedly not a huge fan of Walmart our responsibility to you takes precedent over that. This week when entering Poway, Calif Walmart we snapped this photo of the same product contents, striking price difference. (We did not check each item with each retailer to verify it.)

Be diligent about turning lights and appliances off before leaving. 5 seconds to turn off money-burning items is equivalent paying yourself with cash that some utility company doesn't need.

Use CFL or LED bulbs if it makes cents-sense. These bulbs cost little more these days but offer longer life than incandescent and eat far less electricity, CFL's tend to use only 25% as much juice, LEDs about 2% of incandescent.

    To Your Good Health

No secret light, fluffy Quinoa cook texture and mild slightly nutty flavor makes it an alternative to white rice or couscous.

For those who have not yet discovered Quinoa, unboxed quinoa requires removal of saponins by either soaking in water for a few hours or simply rinse it running water for several minutes.

Most pre-packaged quinoa comes conveniently ready to cook and serve. Treat quinoa much like rice, bring 2 cups of water to a boil with 1 cup of Quinoa, simmer 15 minutes and serve.

Vegetables, broth, meat and various sauces can be added to give it a completely different flavor. Its simple to create a wide variety of dishes, all loaded with nutrition very inexpensively.

Quinoa also serves as a high-protein breakfast to start the day. Delicious when mixed with honey, almonds, or berries; Quinoa is also sold as a dry product similar to corn flakes. Quinoa flour can be used in wheat-based and gluten-free baking.

Quinoa in raw form can be easily quickly germinated to even boost its nutritional value.. Germination activates its natural enzymes and multiplies vitamin content. Residing only 2–4 hours in a glass of clean water is enough to make it sprout and release gases, as opposed to 12 hours required for wheat. This process enhances nutritional value and softens grains, making them suitable for any type salads and other cold foods.
